Volunteering
One thing we love about our church family is our heart for serving. If you have a desire to explore your gifts further by serving in one of our ministries, we encourage you to do so. The process is very simple. If there is a ministry area you are interested in, you can simply speak to the ministry leader and let them know you would like to serve. The only thing we ask is that whenever you serve, you do it "as to the Lord" (Colossians 3:23).
Giving
Washington Avenue Baptist Church has the privilege of having a paid-off building! Therefore, when you give, more of your donation goes directly into the community where we serve through our various outreach programs. When it comes to giving, we follow 2 Corinthians 9 which says, "Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver" (2 Corinthians 9).

You may drop off your donation in our mailbox at the rear entrance, or by using an envelope during our normal Sunday Worship Experience.
