Washington Avenue Baptist Church is a progressive church that focuses on God through dynamic worship, relevant preaching, relevant teaching, and effective ministry. Our worship services offer a blend of traditional, charismatic, and contemporary styles.
What We believe
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God.
We believe in the trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe Jesus Christ shed his blood on Calvary to save a fallen world. His death made it possible for us to have forgiveness and salvation, which is the free gift of God's grace.
Our hope
The ultimate aim is that our diverse, intergenerational congregation will have a profound encounter with God (in their own way) before they leave our public worship experiences.
